HOMESTEAD INFO: I am searching for a homestead or patent claim in Quay County. I
have searched all Quay County land, tax, and assessor records. Could someone
file for a homestead in Quay in 1906 in a place other than the county? I called
Santa Fr for the NM State Land Records, and was told all info is the in the
county records. At the Quay County Land records it was suggested that if one
filed for homestead but deserted the homestead it was not filed in the county
but in Santa Fe. Does anyone know where to find patent claims for 1906 for a
deserted homestead for John R. Burton who was in the Norton Area of Quay.

Seek more information on the Clancy's of Santa Fe and Albuquer que. They are
mainly Frank Willey Clancy of both places and Harry Smith Clancy of Santa Fe.
They were here from 1874 to 1928. Their wives were Charlotte Jane Cawthorne
Swallow and Susie L. Harrison, respectively. They were lawyers and were active
politically. They have descendents spread around the country. Their son Albert
Harrison Clancy married Lillian Marie Hesselden.

Co. TX.; d. 31 Oct 1977 in Pampa, TX; buried in the Portales Cemetery,
Portales, NM. Frank's first wife was Mabel, and they had 7 children: Alene
Jernigan b. c1916 m. Harold Lee; Allen H. Jernigan b. c1917; Wilburt B.
Jernigan b. c1919; Edward Jernigan; Jack Jernigan; Paul Jernigan; and Viola
Jernigan m. (Unknown) Sustaita. They lived in Portales, NM. Frank's second
wife was Jimmie Lloyd, m. 25 May 1940 in Wichita Falls, TX. They had one
son, Robert Lee Jernigan b. 4 May 1941. They lived in Santa Fe, NM, eventually
moving to Pampa, TX. At the time of Frank's death in 1977, he had 16 grandchildren
and 17 great- grandchildren. I would love to find some of these descendants

I'm looking for Melissa Chesley Smalley (born July 1844 in New York) and her son, Benjamin Smalley (born August 1874). Melissa disappears after the 1910 census. When her brother, John Chesley died in October 1919, his obituary states he was the last of his siblings. Any information will be appreciated.

born/christened 14 January 1846;
San Francisco Real de Paula, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Someone mailed this information to me, but not who her father was? I believe it is Paulino Weaver. He was married to Maria Dolores Martin (father Juan Candelaria Martin). They were married 2 Sept 1832 in Taos.
I found Bonifacia in 1860 living with her sister, Lucinda Weaver-Porter in Albuquerque. In 1850 Bonifacia lived in Santa Fe:

I know her father, Paulino (Powell) Weaver was living in 1850 in San Bernardino County, CA. He was a well-known mountain man and a guide to the Mormon Battalion.

15:24:15 EST Hello, I am looking for any information about a family who lived in Roy, Mora, New Mexico apx 1912 to around 1920. Their last name was White. I know my grandfather's name was Franklin Ottis White. My grandmother's name I do not have. She died in a house fire around 1918 - 1900. My father Emmett White was born July 9, 1915 in Roy, New Mex. There was also a girl born in 1917 named Gladdyapal. The only info I have is that Frank O White was an autioneir and had some land ( Frank O White Ranch). I have a picture with the family with that wording on it. If you can help me with any information about this family would be very greatfull. The only information I have is the 1900 census and it states my grandfather and family were in Roy, Mora, New Mex and he was widowed at age 44. My father was raised as an orphan in Texas.
